Position Summary

Gluth Brothers Roofing is seeking a dependable, hardworking Yard Associate to support the daily operation of our roofing company. This is a hands-on, physically demanding position that includes preparing materials and equipment for projects, loading and unloading trucks, cleaning vehicles and equipment, organizing the yard, maintaining company property, and completing general labor wherever needed.

This position is best suited for someone who enjoys staying active, takes pride in completing practical work, and is willing to handle both routine tasks and unexpected needs. The Yard Associate plays an important role in keeping our crews organized, supplied, and ready to work efficiently.

Primary Responsibilities

• Load, unload, stack, and organize shingles, roofing materials, tools, and equipment.

• Stage and prepare materials, trucks, trailers, tools, and equipment for upcoming projects.

• Clean out trucks, trailers, equipment, work areas, and storage areas.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard, shop, warehouse, and company property.

• Cut weeds, mow grass, remove debris, shovel snow, and assist with seasonal property maintenance.

• Operate forklifts, dump trucks, trailers, and other equipment when trained and authorized.

• Deliver or pick up materials, tools, and equipment from jobsites, vendors, and company facilities as needed.

• Assist with inventory organization and notify supervisors of damaged, missing, or low-stock materials.

• Perform basic equipment preparation and general maintenance tasks.

• Assist field crews, yard staff, and operations personnel with miscellaneous labor and support needs.

• Follow company safety policies, DOT requirements, and instructions from supervisors.

• Perform other duties as assigned based on daily operational needs.

Required Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.

• Ability to pass a DOT physical.

• Dependable attendance and the ability to report to work on time.

• Willingness to perform physical labor and complete routine or less desirable tasks without constant

• supervision.

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and move materials, tools, and equipment safely.

• Ability to work outdoors in hot, cold, wet, and changing weather conditions.

• Self-motivated, safety-conscious, and willing to learn.

• Ability to follow instructions and work cooperatively with others.

Preferred Qualifications

• Roofing, construction, warehouse, landscaping, maintenance, or general labor experience.

• OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour certification.

• Forklift operator certification.

• Experience driving dump trucks, pulling trailers, or operating construction equipment.

• Small engine repair and maintenance.

Compensation and Benefits

• Starting wage of $18.00-22.00 per hour, negotiable based on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated

• ability.
